I am pleased to announce the promotions of Clinton Tingen to Golf Course Superintendent and Tony Price to First Assistant Superintendent.
Clinton joined HSGC on August 6, 2018 as First Assistant to manage the golf course re-build project with Tom Fazio II. Clinton has two degrees including an AAS in Turfgrass Management from North Carolina State University. He has held various positions in golf course management including Superintendent at the Traditions Golf Club at Chapel Ridge, NC, First Assistant Superintendent at the Club at 12 Oaks, Holly Springs, NC and Interim Superintendent for the Equestrian Course at the Polo Club in Boca Raton. Clinton served in the United States Marine Corp from 2000-2004, serving a tour in Iraq during the invasion following September 11, 2001. He was honorably discharged in 2004.
Tony joined the HSGC team in October of 2018 as Second Assistant working on the golf course project with Clinton. Tony’s experience consists of five years as Assistant Superintendent at Pelham Country Club in Pelham N.Y. and two years as Assistant Superintendent at Pelham Bay/Split Rock Golf Courses. Also, Tony caddied on the LPGA Tour for four years working with Nannette Hill. Tony graduated from Penn State University in 2008 with a BS in Turfgrass Science.
Clinton and Tony have been a very good team here at HSGC as evidenced by the continuing progress of our new golf course. Tom Fazio II gives this team the highest praise: "They were one of the most diligent and hard-working team I've ever worked with and, on top of that, I had more fun on this redesign than I’ve had in years!"
Please join me in congratulating Clinton and Tony and wishing them continued success.
