Hobe Sound Golf Club (“HSGC”) General Manager John Galland announced that Ms. Cory Simon has been named Director of Food & Beverage / Catering at the private club.
Cory has an extensive background in private country clubs, restaurant, and hotel management. For 13 years, she worked for the Greg Norman Company as General Manager of the Medalist Village Club, also in Hobe Sound, Florida. Her responsibilities included managing the Village Club and directing the community and the Homeowners Association.
Cory has also served in hospitality management roles at Devonshire at PGA National (Palm Beach Gardens), The Sailfish Club of Florida (Palm Beach), Canopy Palms Ramada Resort and Sheraton Oceanfront Hotel (both on Singer Island), and The Jupiter Beach Resort. In addition, she has years of real estate experience in the Florida market.
In her new role, Cory will be responsible for all front of the house food and beverage operations, working closely with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless and polished service to the Club’s membership and their guests.
“We’re excited to welcome Cory to Hobe Sound Golf Club during this exciting time as we prepare to reopen the Club after our course renovation by Tom Fazio II this summer,” said Galland. “We’re confident that her strong background in hospitality will further position our Club as one of the preeminent golf clubs in the area.”
Originally from Wisconsin, Cory came to Florida in pursuit of furthering her career in the hospitality industry and to seek a warmer climate. She has resided in the Palm Beach Gardens area for the last 25 years. At the Club, she can be reached at (772) 546-4600, ext. 123 and email@example.com.
