Hobe Sound Golf Club, a private golf club in southern Martin County, FL, has named
Wayan Sutriasa as the new Executive Chef at HSGC.
Born and raised in Bali, Indonesia, Wayan Sutriasa was formerly trained and graduated from the “Epicurean School of Culinary Arts” in Los Angeles, CA in 1997 and has worked in a number of fine restaurants, hotels and clubs, including The Loxahatchee Club in Jupiter and Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club in Vero Beach, where he won first place in the Orchid Iron Chef Competition.
He is an active member of ACF, the American Culinary Federation. He also mastered Southeast Asian cuisine while working at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong in 1993.
“I started as a cook and have worked my way up these past 17 years perfecting my craft,” said Chef Sutriasa. “I’m always learning new techniques and improving beyond my own knowledge as there is always something new to learn and new horizons to discover. I am very honored to join such a great Club and provide a high degree of satisfaction to the Hobe Sound Golf Club members,” he said.
