REPAIRING BALL MARKS CORRECTLY

A few moments spent repairing ball marks correctly will leave the turf in the best possible shape for players behind you.

First, insert the tool into the turf BEHIND the ball mark (the high side), and gently squeeze or push the turf in toward the center of the ball mark.

If this does not entirely fill it in, repeat the procedure on the other side of the ball mark.

Finish by gently pushing down on it with your hand to make sure the surface is level.

CAUTION: Never insert the tool underneath the ball mark and lift it up. This will result in scalping by the mower, and a dead spot on the turf.
