Last week’s cool temperatures came with a price to our turf.We had frost on Wednesday January 4th and Thursday January 5th.The frost has turned a great deal of the rough and some of the fairway turf “off color”.With a little help from Mother Nature (warm weather) the off color turf will grow out and we will be able to mow off the frost damaged leaf blades.
Please remember to take the time to do the following during your round of golf:
• Always fix at least one ball mark per green.
• Rake out your foot prints and place the rake outside of the bunker when you are finished.
• Knock in the sides of your divot before lightly sanding your divot!
• Keep your Golf Cart on the cart path at the Driving Range and on the Golf Course at all times.
On Monday, January 16, we will Hydro Jet, top dress and fertilize the Greens. The entire golf course will be fertilized on Monday, January 30, in the afternoon.
Warning
With the current cool temps, our gators are less likely to move when approached. So please be careful near the edges of the lakes!
